Alpha software

Eigen Mesh is currently offered as alpha software. Features may be incomplete, unstable, or change without notice. During the alpha period you use the Service at your own risk. Do not rely on it as your only copy of important data — export and back up critical information regularly.

1. Scope

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") apply to the use of the Eigen Mesh service (hereinafter "Service"), provided by Eigen Mesh (hereinafter "we"). By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Deviating terms are not recognized unless we expressly agree to their applicability in writing.

2. Service description

Eigen Mesh provides the following capabilities:

• Thought Capture: Capture thoughts, notes, and tasks in natural language
• Automatic enrichment: Classification, tagging, and graph linking of your entries
• Retrieval & search: Semantic search and ready-to-use context delivery via MCP and API
• Transparency log: Full visibility into all costs and API calls per session

The Service is provided "as-is". We reserve the right to change, extend, or discontinue features.

3. Registration and account

Registration is required to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your credentials confidential. Sharing your account with third parties is not permitted. You are responsible for all actions taken through your account.

4. Email and communication consent

By registering and accepting these Terms, you agree to receive emails related to your account and the Service (e.g. account notifications, security notices, and service-related communications).

5. Pricing and payment

Eigen Mesh uses a usage-based pricing model with no subscription requirement:

• You pay only for API calls and token usage you actually consume
• A transparent markup is applied to raw token costs — every cost item is traceable in the usage log
• There is no minimum term, no automatic renewal, and no hidden fees
• Price changes are communicated with reasonable advance notice

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only lawfully. In particular:

• No misuse for storing or processing illegal content
• No attempts to circumvent systems or security measures
• No automated mass usage without written permission
• You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you capture

In case of violation, we reserve the right to suspend or delete your account without prior notice.

7. Availability

We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. For self-hosted instances, availability and operations are the responsibility of the respective operator. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance when possible.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect damages, data loss, or outages. Liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. For self-hosted deployments, we assume no liability for the operator's operations or data.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time without giving reasons via the app or by email to [email protected] . After deletion, all your data is permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to suspend accounts for violations of these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

Eigen Mesh software is open source under the Apache 2.0 license. The brand, logo, and website content are our intellectual property. You may not use our trademarks and content without written permission. You retain all rights to your captured thought entries.

11. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms. We will inform you of material changes in good time by email or via the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes wholly or partly invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that most closely approximates the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

13. Governing law and venue

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Exclusive venue for disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is, to the extent legally permitted, the seat of the data controller.
